It appears Star Dancer may not be completely original to the manga. There exists a pony named Stardancer/Star Dancer in G1, and this is a coloration based off that pony.

Well, color reinterpretations are not unusual. I really hope this is the case if she is named after that G1. Plus, that pink would look a deeper gray in manga than Pinkie’s.  
Tbh, the first time Pinkie called her a “space pony”, I imagined a light green similar to Filly anon, an ‘alien’ green. That would be more accurate with her light gray tone.  
I guess they haven’t given us her real color for having us to speculate. So mean. :c

Yeah, I think with this Star Dancer they just went with the most generic pony name they could come up with (as there are plenty of Stars, and Dancers in Equestria) and called it a day. Her scheme is still up in the air as far as I am concerned, but this is just as valid as any proposal!
