WOAH WHAT A BIG CHANGE HERE
yeah i was just drawing her like I normally do and I just was like “why don’t I try a different skin color?” And…. i. Absolutely. LOVE. IT. I love how she looks now!!! Oh my gosh!! One of my favorite redos by far! And yes i know her outfit kinda looks like Elsa ahaha

You are both situationally right in my book.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
I don’t think that’s the reason. There was enough of good images but artists who drew those were getting the heat all the same. It’s just, depicting mane six as “not white” was always creating shirstorms.
To be fair, I think a lot of the really heavily downvoted “black rarity” pics just really don’t look good to begin with, some of them getting rather uncomfortably close to blackface.
