The base is still renderingbytes’s filly Twinkeshine SFM model that I ported to Blender and modified quite a lot (well, not the body, that is 100% unmodified).

Indeed, I’ll likely go with 3D body + 2D vector head. Right now I’m drowning in deadlines as usual, but I’ll try to get back to it when I can.
