I didn’t really come up with a reason for it in universe, girls walking barefoot in public is just thing I really like that’s also very rare, so I draw it sometimes. This was also part of an art trade and the bare feet were part of it.

If this is set in Japan, wearing shoes inside is not done. They have inside slippers that never go outside. Maybe this school doesn’t have those or it’s a kindergarten & they aren’t required?
