As some people would say, “everything in its own time” and “patience”; I also wait for news “<officials> from Hasbro” about Equestria Girls, but if something has not been said at all, it is probably because of all the plans they are adjusting, remembering that this COVID pandemic has caused damage in many things.  
Now from what we have seen, Hasbro, remembering that it is a toy company and that My Little Pony is not its only franchise, they have been working on other franchises that have been “quiet in the last few years, even their other famous franchise, Transformers, has not had much in the spotlight so far, if we add the return of Micro Machines and its toy lines with Disney and its new acquisition, Saban that has included the Power Rangers and the Ghostbusters, well, you think they are going to dedicate a lot What have they dedicated to in the past decade? It can be said that they are probably giving “a little break”
 
That does not mean (for me and many others) that the Equestria Girls will not return, the fact that there are still current Equestria Girls toys is just one factor that they will still continue. just have to wait and be patient.

Ugh! Why hasn’t hasbro announced anything about the fate of equestria girls yet? I’m getting little antsy over here, I wanna see more films and specials of equestria girls, even if they continue separately from G5.

I disagree that it depends on toys - I doubt it.
 
Whether or not to continue working on the series is up to the creator. 9 years have passed, and that’s a lot.  
Additionally, now we have the Pony Life. This is great!!

yeah sounds like half life fans wait and hope for valve make hl3 but valve cancel it some reason and change as alyx.

I understand that many “are annoyed” to see fans asking for this “impossible wish”, but, is it not the same to see other fans get even “aggressive” for “putting their feet on the ground” to those dreaming people? , so much negativity that there is no longer even asking for something nice?, please, this is only a wish.

My friend, In all my life, I have waited for many cartoon / anime series to have more episodes, to know what was next and to see its beautiful ending and yes, they never happened; Even in video games, I have waited for sequels that have not appeared for years or have not been what I expected and yes, my expectation was there, but in the end, I never had the disappointment, because I know that this is “HOW THING ARE” and well, I wait until the very end, this is how “HOPE” works and so it will be with this great series.

this last information here :  
As of June 23 2020, the series has ended its second season, and the series will possibly come to an end since DHX Media Vancouver had left its production in 2019.
