I also like the idea that Fluttershy is taller than Dash because Shy was tall and lanky as a filly, while Dash was kinda small.

Skin is somewhat pearlescent layers of color going on.
 
Most of the stuff in our body is clear, it’s the oils and proteins that have the yellow/brownish color, the iron that has the red.
 
I think the flush should be on their shoulders arms and fingers somewhat too.

They’re both beautiful. I love the modesty in Arabian culture, they also imbued wonderful fragrance into their clothes with oils and they can be quite sensual in private spaces.
