I really hope this is meant to be trolling and not serious. Literally half this episode was songs and the other half felt rushed. Canterlot Wedding at least didn’t feel like a 10 minute episode with the rest being tape to hold it together.

Denied. Canterlot Wedding’s pacing was fine, for the most part.
 
MMC on the other hand, was racing through it’s plot points for the first two acts.
 
If McCarthy’s twitter is to be believed, then MMC is the first part in a three part story (Like the Opening of the Dominion War ark in Deep Space Nine), which gives me the feeling that the third act of MMC wasn’t denouement, but a plateauing of rising action.

A Canterlot Wedding has pacing problems. Magical Mystery Cure is a pacing problem.
 
On an unrelated note, I love how the other pic with the tag “pacing” has nothing to do with any of this.

the final act of mmc sucked and should have been another episode, but the first two parts were just fine for what they were (but could have benefited from some breathing room). canterlot wedding was handled better being a two parter, but even some smaller moments felt like they could have been fleshed out a bit.
 
both are flawed. i liked them, but i’m not super crazy about ’em either.

I didn’t really see any pace at all in Magical Mystery Cure.
 
Twilight observed a problem. She discovered that she had caused it. She then promptly knew how to fix it, and encountered no significant obstacles in doing so.
 
No, this wasn’t really a conflict. The whole episode essentially demonstrated her magical power and her understanding of friendship.
 
The entire episode was a culmination. A walk-in. A…

I agree, the pace was fast, but it was consistent.  
Canterlot Wedding had 35 minutes of build up but was rushed through at the end.

I didn’t notice any pacing problems at all with A Canterlot Wedding. Magical Mystery Cure on the other hand felt like 2 or 3 episodes crammed together with big chunks missing and some songs tacked on as adhesive to hold the whole mess together.
 
It was superficially enjoyable but most of the actual plot was over in the first 10 minutes.

Rescue Princess > Villain Song > Interupt Wedding > Celestia gets ass handed > Mane Six gets ass handed > “I love you!” {boom} > half-assed moral > “Did I miss anything?” > Ending on a laugh despite the majority of the two-parter being fucking depressing and dark.
