A lot of bronies have gotten a bit crazy over this. Personally I loved seeing Twilight earning what she had been made to be from the beginning. All little girls wants to be princess and its just one more expression of the feminine that I love about the show. Not all ponies get to be a princess, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Ponies in Equestria are born with destinies, trajectories through life that they are set to accomplish and where they will be the most happy. This was Twilights, and she couldn’t have done it without her friends. Good moral, good story, awesome songs.

I think Season 3 was very good and i can not see any massive influence of hasbro besides “Put Princess Twilight into the show”. And even that is only speculation.

Season 3 was not as good as Season 2, even though Season 2 was better than Season 1. You know what changed? Hasbro started taking more direct control, and it sounds like Season 4 will be even worse in that regard. It doesn’t matter who is writing the show if they are being told to write shit or get fired.

People flamed me when I said that Twilight becoming an Alicorn is the start of G4.5, and the G4.5 is not going to be the same show that Bronies have built our fandom around, even if it wears similar clothes.
 
Hasbro is knows the show is popular, but they don’t care that adults love it for being a good show– they know there are tons of kids watching, and they want to exploit that for all it’s worth to move more products.
 
I will still be a Brony if that happens, but I will be in it for the fan works and IDW’s comic series, not the show itself.

Guess the hole is being dug for the show’s grave. I’ll just ride this out and see if I can rekindle my love for the show to some degree before Hasbro burns everything to the ground, destroying it beyond recognition in their boundless lust for endless money.

That stock portfolio looks pretty good, think it’s time to invest.

Hasbro announced some time ago that they intend to integrate the cartoon more with the toyline, so expect even more crystals and princesses in the episodes to come.

Twilight Sparkle moves to the Crystal Empire to be with her family, and Dawn takes her place in Ponyville.

The first phase has begun.

I remember some people were angry when Dash got a turtle because there was a toy like this and the toys weren’t suppose to influence the show.  
Those times feel so distant now. Honestly I find all this “crystal and princesses” stuff to be a little boring. The book may be fine though. But yeah, I hope not all what we’re gonna get.
