Okay, to be honest, I didn’t like Season 8 very much. The only episodes I was anywhere close to liking were Horse Play and Molt Down. So I’m just gonna skip to Season 9. It wasn’t as bad as Season 8, but I still don’t really consider it good.
 
5.Dragon Dropped - There’s something hilarious about Rarity being jealous of Spike when you’d think it would be the other way around.  
4.Common Ground - This was cute episode in a meta sense, considering that not only did Patton Oswalt return as Quibble Pants, but his wife and daughter were also involved in the episode.  
3.Student Counsel - An episode without any of the Mane 6 is always refreshing to watch (for me, at least). Also, Maud’s “You got the Hunk part right” line was priceless.  
2.Sweet and Smokey - Fluttershy showing ZERO tolerance towards Garble’s mean-spirited attitude Spike made this episode for me.  
1.Sparkle’s Seven - Nice to see the Mane 6’s voice actors contribute to the episode to some extent. Wish I could remember who had which idea.
 
I’ve seen a lot of people complain about how Season 9 (and FIM as a whole) ended. I don’t really care much about the three-part finale either, which is why it’s not on the list. But I do like how the final battle had the entirety of Equestria involved. I also like how the Last Problem involved a unicorn not wanting anything with friendship before slowly deciding to give it a try (sound familiar?). There isn’t really anything else that stands out other than that. I look forward to what the My Little Pony franchise has in store next (never though I’d hear myself say that).
