I’ve never heard of Darla Dimple. When I look at Cozy Glow, I see a pony version of Shirley Temple in her childhood.

That episode in season eight was a major disappointment.

Chryssi, you’ve already been the villain in Seasons 2 and 6, plus you had your episode in Season 8. Enough is enough.

Dunno. I quite like the setup. Just wish we’d gotten an actual origin for her.  
I know someone’s going to complain, but it’s good for representation purposes that we got a villain that’s just a regular pony- not evilly powerful due to shenanigans like NMM or Sombra, not misguided or acting out like Starlight and Sunset, not some weird unique thing that happens to be a jerk like Chrysalis or Tirek.
 
The bit with Neighsay and “You were like, 90% right, and could have proven it if you weren’t obnoxiously racist” is excellent.

Agreed. Then her role in The Mean 6, where ultimately nothing was accomplished, wouldn’t have been so pointless.

She’s not wrong. The child twist villain trope is really tiresome.
