Looks like this is an essay on bidding farewell — I could find this exact text on a site for model essays, and a Q+A site, where the asker requests essays on friends parting. Here’s my amateur translation (any corrections appreciated):

夏日的蝉鸣伴随着热辣辣的太阳光一起来到了我们的身边。赶走了春天的绵绵细雨，也赶走了快乐的时光，迎来的只是分离前的泪水，一滴一滴地穿透你我的心扉……  
The summertime sounds of cicadas, as well as the scorching sunlight, all reached us. The continuous drizzle of spring and the cheerful times had been cast away. In their place was only the tears before we part ways, piercing the doors to our hearts drop by drop…
 
似乎都感觉到了分离前的伤悲，所以彼此都小心翼翼地保护着共同的友谊。多么希望时间就此停靠在岸边；多么希望时间不再前进；多么希望时间可以倒流；让我们再一次珍惜美好的友情，让我们一起分享这份默契的沉默，让我们再一次感受到昔日的欢声笑语……  
It was as though one could even feel the sorrow that came before a farewell, so we were very cautiously safeguarding our friendship with each other. How times of hope stopped at the shore here; how times of hope no longer advanced forward; how times of hope could flow backwards. Let us cherish our happy friendship once again; let us share this piece of silent, mutual understanding together; let us experience the joyful cheers of days long past…

^*1 划落 is a typo from the original author; it’s supposed to be 滑落. 划 and 滑 are pronounced exactly the same way in Mandarin, hence the confusion.  
^*2 I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to translate 历史的缩影, and “epitome of history” was the best I could come up with.
