Story:  
Nightlight Aura was about to made something very unforgivable… steal from the royal castle of Canterlot but she need money and fast and the castle was the only place with something expansive enough to her, maybe a royal artefact or the crown off Celestia herself… she knows it was very bad and against the law but her decision was made, she wait for the night and fly to one of the windows, from what she have learned, this particular window was not guarded and lead to a room with many rare artefacts or books. But even with a flashlight, she can’t get a glimpse of what was inside.  
“Well, only one way to find out…” thought the pegasus mare before forcing the window and get inside the room.  
Once inside, she gave herself some light with her flashlight and find out she was inside… a bedroom but not just any bedroom, the princess Luna bedroom.  
“Oh my… well at least she’s not here… maybe I can take one thing or two from her…” said Nightlight to herself.  
She then proceeds to search around the room what can be very expensive to sell but nothing until she opened the closet. Inside was all the royal ornaments of Nightmare Moon, a blue helmet, a blue regalia with a moon on the center and royal hoofshoes.  
“Jackpot, she tries to forget her Nightmare Moon self, I will help her!” exclaimed Nightlight before grabbing the helmet.  
When she was about to put it in her bag, she just starts to have a silly thought and put it on her head before looking in the mirror in the room.  
“Not bad… but I wonder what I will look like with each of those…”  
She placed the regalia around her torso, and each of her hooves in a royal hoofshoe before taking another look of herself.  
“Behold subjects, I am Nightmare Moon, mistress of the night!” said Nightlight with a funny tone. “Alright I have my fun, now time to take all this stuff with me…”  
But right before she was about to exit the room, the window gets closed.  
“What the?” asked Nightlight in surprise. She tries to reopen it but off course with no success.  
“Do you really think I will not know when a thief is trying to steal in my room? I should throw you in a dungeon for the rest of your life!” Said a powerful voice before Luna herself emerged from the shadow.  
“Dammit…” said Nightlight in frustration.  
“Dammit indeed, now like I said, I should throw you in a dungeon, but I have another thing in mind…”  
“Like wha…?” Try to ask Nightlight before a flash engulfed the room, when she regained consciousness, she can feel something on her, but her suspicion was confirmed when she takes a look at the same mirror in front of her. She was in an outfit trapping her entire body, even her wings and mouth preventing any escape or talk, Nightmare Moon Cutie Mark was now on each of her flank. She can feel something on her head, around her neck and on each of her hooves, by trying to remove them, she finds out it was the helmet, the regalia and the hoofshoes but almost like they’re now… fused to her new “outfit”. She also finds out it was a little tricky to maintain her balance on the ground now because of her hind hooves being encased inside what looks like… heels  
“Do you like it? I saw your little “fun” with those on you so it just gave me an idea: You will be my little “Nightmare Moon”, you should remain in this outfit as my pet from now and forever and I will be your mistress, keeping a close eye on you…” Nightlight try to protest but her mouth was sealed by the outfit. “Don’t try to speak, pets like you don’t need to talk, only to obey…”  
Right after those words, Luna makes appear a mask in front of Nightlight eyes, the mask fused itself around her head, closing her vision for good and some spirals started to play, directly from the mask itself. Slowly losing her free will by looking at it, she forgot her old self and any attempt to escape or protest, letting obedience and loyalty to her princess… no… mistress… take control of her. Her mind was rewrite, Nightlight starting to believe her real name was and always has been Nightmare Moon. In just a few seconds, Nightlight was no more and only Nightmare Moon, the loyal pet of princess Luna remained.  
“Good, now come here Nightmare Moon, the night is still young and a former tyrant like you should be punish.” said the princess with a smirk.  
Nightmare Moon only obey, and a leash was attached to her neck.
