No one really knows how that thing works. DNA is more of a suggestion than a rule in Equestria thanks to magic. What muddles it further though is they clearly do take after her XD

That both make sense and raises some huge questions. On the thought process that GMHAA showed up in Equestria from something other than the EQG mirror portal (and now there’s a thought of GMHAA entering that mirror and being turned into something not-human despite the fact he is originally a human), for Wallflower blush to enter Equestria from the mirror portal and still appear human means someone attempted to alter the magic of the portal to allow Wallflower in a human.

Only how could they tell that the spell worked the way they wanted it? Wallflower blush walks through it and appears to look the same, so it must of worked right (minus her green skin, but then again GMHAA doesn’t have green skin so maybe humans in Equestria don’t have those color skins like in the EQG world. Make sense for any pony trying to figure out this problem especially since their only source for humans in Equestria is GMHAA)? But her offspring being ponies could imply that the spell only gave her the shape of a human, but the DNA of a pony. So Wallflower is actually a more literal “Person Pony” while being in Equestria. And in that thought, the portal may make a pony end up in the EQG world appearing like a pony, but the full DNA of a human for offspring. A full “Pony Person”, if you will.

That’s why it is dangerous to go around messing with major artifacts like mirrors that don’t just take you to another world, but also change your race.
