Oh god damnit, is this going to be like the “fans” of the Game Overthinker who started on a massive bitchfest that the creator of a work wanted to try something new while also keeping the core of it intact. (Because skipping the skits is too hard for the monkeys that make up 75% of the internet.)
This. I don’t have a problem with the fact that he has a strongly negative opinion of S3 and twicorn. I do have a problem with the ad hominem against anyone whom has the nerve to say that they like either, the implicit Faust worship (and by extention, the implicit insult to the rest of the production staff), and the lame excuses for why he doesn’t like S3 or twicorn (“hasbro ruined everything”).
This whole side story somehow reminded me of that one Adult Swim show ‘Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil’. Two things:
1.) Was it supposed to remind me of that show?
2.) What the HELL happened to that show, anyway?
Fair enough, as it was a genuine question. As for me personally, I think we’ll only really know after the show has finished airing, because things like this need time to settle before we can really judge them IMHO.
Followup question:
If it has become everything that Ms Magazine was criticizing, does this invalidate the fandom it has acquired?

From reading his twitter and tumbler, it seems he thinks that S3 went to complete shit…which actually makes me want to ask him the following:
Has MLP: FiM become everything that Ms Magazine was criticizing about the show before it aired?

What? No… I hate this fanbase, but that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy the show.
Plus, I don’t think he hates the show. I think he just didn’t like Season 3. I’m sure he’ll watch Season 4.
I know right. What am I supposed to do now that the person whom got me into the show now hates it? Do I join them and start hating on it too? Or do I do what I am doing now, and still enjoying the show?
It IS his opinion, but he doesn’t reall give a crap on others’ about S3, unless they agree that it sucks. His tumblr is dedicated to show how much he hates the show now, especially Alicorn Twilight. His twitter is also full of sarcastic and biting statements too.

You are correct in that it was third season. I watched it again and don’t know how I hear generation. But till CR makes some more serious video about season 3, I consider it just a joke. And still its’s one guy opinion, so no real reason to care.

I’m quite sure he meant not season 3 but generation 3. Although to be honest I consider season 3 the worst season - still good, but definitely step down from season 2.
