The fact that IDW holds the various licenses for Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Ghostbusters (among others) could mean a lot of potential crossovers or at least gags without worry of trademark issues. (I suspect this is how we’re getting away with so many obvious not-subtle-at-all Doctor Whooves covers)

The comet is also apparently the cause of a giant magical marshmallow pony attacking Manehatten that Luna’s sent off to dispatch (But ends up getting lost)
