Me too. Maybe Luster Dawn replaced Twilight as princess. Twilight perhaps was put into a coma and Luster and her friends prematurely had to rule Equestria in a time of great turmoil. They failed and an epic semi-apocolyptic event happened seperating all the races of ponies and other creatures.
 
Rumors have it that Luster might still be alive. Wallowing at her failure to save the world Twilight had built up.

What if they decide to include Luster as a g5 character at some point in the series?  
Maybe to add more links with the g4?  
Maybe through a time travel that takes her into the world of the g5?  
I really hope that the g5 can really be defined as a sequel to the g4 in some way because if it’s just a new random series I would really lose interest in it and in this case characters like Luster could come in handy to explain what the heck happened to Equestria.

Is g5 a sequel to friendship is magic? If so shouldn’t we be seeing some Alicorns?

Luster twist Twilight’s friendship lessons and ended up starting a war.

Plot twist is that Luster will be the princess by the time of G5.

Not that I mind the main characters we get now.
