I’m actually curious in what you said. I was napping before the mods took it away… I’m very interested in what people have to say about Grapexie (good or bad) nowadays.
It’s good you’re not taking this as seriously. The reason I don’t self-ship anymore (at least for now) is because I was worried about it consuming my life and thought I was taking the ships too seriously (like some people do), and I’ve pretty much had it with drawing shit. I also didn’t like that I was shipping myself with too many ponies, switching from Twilight to Octavia, then Coloratura, instead of just sticking with one pony.
Honestly, I don’t think I do. I think I wanted to stop it because I was more worried about becoming another cringe self shipping account. But know I think it’s OK. I don’t take Grapexie as seriously as I used too.
I think after the situation with Jay & Brandon I realized that I was taking it way too seriously and being a bit selfish. But as you say I think just drawing Grapexie pictures as a hobby is alright. Also Mordetwi is pretty bogus but I think it’s mostly a joke. Still it’s a bit sad to see nice art wasted on it, In my opinion. Though I have got an idea to take the piss out of it using a certain classic rock band.
Do you even want to stop Grapexie? As much as I hate canon x oc ships (and it’s still better than mordetwi) I think it’s fine if you want to continue (just don’t let it take over your life).
