Eh, I got into DW towards the end of Tennant’s run, while I was recovering from my wisdom teeth op. I remember walking in on “Gridlock” and watching the 2009 specials.
First stories I ever watched, though. were a triple airing of both parts of “The King’s Demons” with Davison, and “The Idiot’s Lantern” with Tennant. And I watched them in that order. The problem was that I forgot about it until ‘09.
All I remember about that night was that my folks were on a trip and spending the night in a hotel, and I was up late watching TV. I don’t even remember which hotel, the number, or even how far back this life-changing night was.
It was a combination of that and also hearing about the show in a ton of other places, from friends, TV Tropes, memes, etc. that finally led me to watch “Rose.”
It’s now my favorite live-action show of all time.
Other way round for me, I watch Doctor Who and found this pony Doctor, went and listened to the first episode of “Doctor Whooves and Assistant” and couldn’t really understand half of it because it was about the first episode of MLP:FIM. So I went to watch that so I could see what was going on and all of a sudden I was a Brony!
I’ll be honest, I like Doctor Who a whole lot LESS thanks to the insipid fangasming that this character has inspired. Sorry, but I am NOT a fan of Doctor Whooves and wish that this abomination had never happened :<
I regret nothing.

It’s amazing :D
No regrets :D
It’s still cool that you’re able to say you affected Dr. Who in a small way.
