Not really. I talked about this Here specifically because this short was one of My EG productions to date, and I think it’s a good evidence that she’s wrong about the concept not having chance of working. This is why I made this comment Here.

I really don’t understand why Lauren Faust was so upset about EG. Despite its iffy concept and a few misses, People who worked on it managed to make it work perfectly. I think she would agree if she only gave it a chance (especially since it’s WAAAY better and more entertaining than pratically all the shows of this kind like Winx Club, or Monster High, or The DC Super Hero Girls show that isn’t made by her)… Then again, she’s so self entitled about remembering the show like she wants to remember it that she hasn’t seen any episode post-Return of Harmony (I remember a photo of her covering her eyes when she accidentally bumped into the show on TV somewhere…)… She’s just like her own fans.
 
And Little parenthesis: The S1 is one of the weakest Seasons of the show, only the S6 reaches that Level of weakness of the most recent ones, the Others are far superior. If I decided to Watch her upcoming show DC Super Hero Girls, it’s only because Larson Will be her Second in command, and as a big fan of His scripts (Fame and Misfortune included despite the cobtroversy and he hating it himself) I’m totally in For something more by him, even more if he has full hand in it. So I’m gonna Watch the upvoming DCSHG show because of Larson, not Faust.
