I persume Pipp never have a “real friend” in her lifetime, all she has are just hypocritical social media followers, the one only cares about she us her sister. So during the roadtrip, Pipp realized she finally has some friends in real life and start to open her heart.

I also noticed, for a popular Pony, they didn’t show Pipp with anyone outside the royal staff. Maybe these siblings were isolated to keep their family secret more secure. She had her streaming followers, but that’s different from having friends in the flesh. Maybe this isolation drove a deeper bond with her sister, and being around ponies her own age sparked an interest in this quest with her bff sister and pals.

Personally, I’m just happy we weren’t stuck with a complainer. Going through the entire movie with one of the characters being a total grump would not be a very comfortable experience.

Guess Sunny’s speech was really strong. Pipp was mostly convinced getting the crystals and magic back is the best way to win back her fans already. She was probably just venting and her bickering with Zipp really felt more like usual sibling argument than her being unwilling to collect the crystals.
 
Honestly most of the movie feels a bit rushed and the characters kinda talk way too fast like they wanted to get through scenes really fast, especially in Zephyr Heights. Pipp’s sudden mood swing is just one of the results of that but honestly it’s not too bad.

She brushed her hair, was told to suck it up, was wanted by the police, and still saved the day.
 
This is the most relatable character ever!

Perhaps being a social media sensation has given her the attention span of a gnat? :)

If only the movie were a little longer.
 
Part of me even wishes the movie would have itself been a whole say 13 episode season.
 
But I doubt those are necessarily realistic ideas so they did what they could.
 
It seems like characters like Sunny Izzy and Zipp got enough time to make a good impression at least.

Yes, I think this scene could have more development too. But the movie is only 90 minutes long, so I can understand they couldn’t put anything in it.

I think having more scenes of Hitch and Pipp bonding, being the two less adventorus ponies would have added something.
 
And perhaps even Izzy bonding with Pipp over creative stuff.
 
I don’t think they knew what her role would be in this movie.
 
One of her character description pieces that’s absent from the movie is her wanting the attention of her big sister. Perhaps they should have went into that.
 
I bet in the series she could be a great character and come into her own.

Pipp deserved better!
