Its not nitpicking, its a major issue on how Spike has been affected by being stuck as a dog.
The writing is on the wall. Do you see him involved much? No, and that’s due to the writers shooting themselves in the foot by making him a dog since it restricted him badly. They didn’t think this through in the long-run by making him a dog.

It took me that long because I was occupied with stuff and also nervousness delaying me from seeing the reply.
It happens too much sadly.

I am literally pointing out glaring issues, not things like stubbing their toe or anything.

As for why I am replying, I have to respond or else this kind of just eats me up inside. Like kind of unfinished business or something. Yes its awkward I might take months to do so but better late than never.

Well I still see nothing wrong with him as a dog especially his dog counterpart and it’s better for him being a dog then a human whether you like it or not and you’re still making excuses, nitpicking and bad mouthing about what you immaturely want and demanded to get what you want for selfish reasons while we just like it the way as it is and prefer to go with it so please get a grip and move on.

Take a look and see how EQG handled him, look at how they made it HARD to do anything with him by making him a dog.
He can’t interact with anyone while he loses out on doing stuff that humans can do. And missing due to “no pets allowed” bs.

There are others that agreed that it was bad that Spike is stuck as a dog.
People were pretty vocal about it when it was first shown.
Even though it stopped now, I am sure others are still ticked about it.

Its not small details, its a problem since it done one of the franchise’s major characters poorly.

Honestly if they do bring Equestria Girls into the G5 brand I hope they use new characters for it and not Human versions of the mane 5 ponies if they include them make them supporting characters at the very least

Its not freaking ridiculous details.
Hell, Spike being stuck as a dog matters in the grand scheme of things since it fucked up his character badly in EQG. Its a huge problem that needs to be pointed out.

I am not making excuses. I looked at cold hard facts and Spike being a dog really screwed him over. Such as how most of the time he’s just sits there like a prop or is just missing(due to Sci-Twi forgetting she breaks the “no pets allowed” rule before).

Yes it freaking did.
It restricted his potential badly and pretty much made it impossible for him to interact with characters outside of the Mane 7 due to people freaking out about talking dogs(and the”no pets allowed” rule).
And it demeans his character since its saying he’s a pet to Twilight instead of a equal being.

Oh its more than likely coming back in some form or another there’s no reason for it not to and multiple reasons it should. For starters it was developed to compete with Monster High in which it performed well . In some countries it even matched the main line “Friendship is Magic” in sales. The movies, specials, web shows, shorts, and novels also received mostly positive reception and support from the larger G4 fanbase through out the years with the anti-EQG crowd being no more than a “loud minority”. Equestria Girls [G4] is definilty finished, but [G5] recieving an “Equestria Girls inspired” spin-off in the future is all but certain if [G5] continues performing well. Where money can be made; it will be made. Considering we already have there [G5] plans for the next 2 years that being a 44 minute special, 2 seasons, and Youtube shorts I predict will recieve that spin-off in 2024-2025.
