The movie literally calls it ancient Equestria, and literally everyone except the pony researching it and the pony who found a stained glass of the era think it’s a fairy tale. Ponies that are currently alive have never even seen ponies of the other races.

That’s at least multiple centuries, and much more likely millennia or even longer, not a few years. Anything can happen in that span of time.

The movie taught “racism is bad”. It’s simple because it’s all it needs to be on such a topic. It agrees with all of you. I mean, this is about a good a point as any, since like I tried to explain, Everything just goes to shit out of no where and need this “New Generation” to solve the problem left by the old one, which means, even if they do it all seems very fleeting in the long run if Twilight Sparkle who brought all creatures together somehow let it all crumble to dust within a few year (Given from info from the movie that a character’s dad knows what happened) What’s the absolute point if it’ll just erode again.

I guess in the end, ponies really aren’t any better.

The strange thing is that after the end of G4, which is canon to G5 based on all the information the movie has provided us, somehow the world went back to how it was before Celestia and Luna came over and became princesses.
 
Almost like the state of division is actually the natural state of being in Equestria. Maybe harmony is unnatural and the world itself just equals it out at some point in the future. Kinda how us Humans, we can never actually achieve unity cause of our natural instincts and need for conflict.
