While I may find ‘A New Generation’ to be a Frankenstein of a movie from the perspective of a brony, it’s a fffffine enough movie in a more casual view at the end of the day.
Plus, given my love for the Pipp of the Petals, I doodled her. Now if you don’t mind, I’mma find her OnlyFans. Or would it be PonyFans?
And yes, I know she has green eyes in the movie, but I kinda like her magenta eyes more.

I say that because it’s trying to juggle being it’s own thing, being a sequel to Gen 4 (which that in itself for me raised more questions in confusion about continuity than intrigue and speculation), and trying to hide being a reboot of Gen 4 as well, but it gets very obvious at points.
Knowing about the initial plans for Gen 5 to be a reboot back in 2017, it felt like the movie team tried to change things up as much as they can with said plans, trying to give it a different coat of paint because of how a lot of elements in the movie literally feel like retreads of FiM and kinda match with some of the ideas for the reboot.
I would’ve been fine if the movie dedicated itself to either one of those three. Let it be a reboot of Gen 4 or a continuation or a whole new canon entirely, there’s no need to try all of it at once.

You find the ‘A New Generation’ to be a Frankenstein of a movie…why? I loved that film, and I will always love it. I think it is a tremendous improvement from the 2017 MLP Movie (which I also loved), and I think it is a great introduction film to the characters of G5. Still, I guess if you don’t like it, you are free to have that opinion. As for me, I will be in my corner loving Sunny Starscout and Izzy Moonbow. Have a good day, SnakeyThingy!
