Isn’t the alicorn amulet a form of dark magic?
If that’s so, that might not even work against Discord, since Sombra’s dark magic had no effect on him in the beginning of the end which makes you think he’s invunerable to that kind of magic.

Well there’s no telling if weather the amulet is a match to Discord’s powers or is more powerful then him.

We have no idea if the Alicorn Amulet empowers its wearer to be stronger than Discord. It’s entirely possible. He’s been shown to be vulnerable to artefacts before, like the Elements of Harmony, Grogar’s Bell, Chrysalis’ Throne… And Celestia managed to enchant the Elements so that he couldn’t teleport them away again like he did before, so there must be spells he can’t overcome outright.

Only by bad writing scenario. No villain except Cosmos, Tirek and Balor can defeat him when it comes to direct fight, the rest are dead since the beginning.

He also was defeated by three supposedly weaker villains while he had all his magic.

I’m convinced the only reason Discord isn’t dead yet is because he’s OP. Without his magic he’s just an arrogant idiot.

Discord tricked cozy, chrysalis and tirek embodied with his magic without any powers so he could free starlight…basically he would easily win overall lol

I believe season 10 is canon.

Cozy’s smart, so she probably has a specific plan to deal with her. I for one hope that she manages to get some well-deserved payback on him.

Is season 10 canon? because if that’s the case, IDW Comics Discord will also be canon, and he gets Multi+ in there, which is actually quite insane for MLP in general.
But I still think he wins even without the comic feats.
For once, she has literally zero experience with magic in general, while Discord is literally the concept of chaos in a physical form that had centuries or even millennia to properly learning to use his magic.
Also, he’s immune to dark magic, since he toke Sombra’s hit like it was absolute nothing.
So yeah, in my opinion, both Cartoon and IDW Comics Discord will win in this case…

In season 6 he was, except that he needed to do it mainly for fluttershy, in spite of doing it without his powers, along side the other reformed villains.
