What I find interesting about this is the dial around the edge of the table/platform here. At first it looks like your standard clock or compass dial, but not the way it’s divided:
  • First into quarters with what appear to be orientation symbols.
  • Then into halves making 1/8s.
  • Next into halves again making 1/16s.
  • Finally into thirds making 1/48s.
That last division makes no sense. A compass dial would’ve been divided into halves again, and a clock-face would’ve been divided into quarters, thirds and fifths. This dial implies that there’s some significance to the number 48 that hasn’t been explained.
