For some reason that particular getup of clothes always makes me think of a physician.

I mean, a doctor makes fairly good sense for a vampire to be. Technically an easy source of blood in more ways than one; blood transfusions (which was very much a new science in the latter half of 1800’s) and of course home visits as a physician. Difficult to not get invited in for a case of illness.
And if we go by traits established by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, no explode-y in the sunlight either. Only weakened. So hell, he could even actually help mortal creatures if he so wished, I figure he’d still have to have his surgical skills in good shape, and lets face it, what else are you going to do with your immortal life than learn something new?
