I have a confession to make. I TOTALLY recognize my way of thinking in this post and i feel kinda ashamed about myself. However, it’s worth noting that i try my best to don’t post in drama thread

Probably has, but if anything it would be with the furry fandom or Star Trek. Their essentially the same thing with a different name and just a different focus. Fandoms, in general, all share the same traits.
From what I’ve seen in this fandom, this sort of behavior is all too common. It mainly comes from people with a complete inability to defend themselves or their behavior, as well as those who assume that you will be judged not upon your own character, but by the character of a group of strangers that may share one single trait, liking the same television show.
This results in them trying to police the whole fandom at first through admonishment as we see here. When that fails, as it always does, they take examples of people they see “destroying the fandom” and endlessly mock them in order to make themselves feel better. By this stage, they’ve actually given up on how the fandom may be perceived despite their proclaimed intentions. However, instead of completely unrelated strangers do things that have no effect on them, they continue with their tirades.
The whole situation really is quite interesting if you ask me. I wonder if its ever been professionally studied…
