I agree. Honestly, if they were to get back together, I’d embrace it. And I don’t even have anything against FlashLight. The thing is, I fell like Sunset and Flash complement each other better.

I think the question isn’t really would it be better recieved, but rather by how much/by what degree?
 
At best people (at least those who aren’t super desperate for a main six canon ship) would embrace it fully, giving a welcome change and some character development to a pair of characters who desperately need it (in particularly flash) with the whole “if you truely love someone you’ll let them go. Especially if that someone is a girl of another species from another world”.
 
At worst it would only be marginally well revived. “Eh, it’s still flash sentry but at least he’s with another character instead of being a romance stu for twilight.”
