Everything they said seems accurate. It doesn’t help that this has been overhyped for a year.

Not gonna lie, attitudes aside, a lot of the critiques here are accurate. The episode’s pacing was painfully slow (the actual show would have fit the scenes with Twilight and Dash into half the time), and the jokes were almost exclusively fandom memes or shout outs rather than being the character based humor that the show uses.

i love these guys, there critique is just what the ‘brony’ fandom needs to raise the bar. Too many ‘kind’ people here in this fandom. Honesty, and i mean it, is what many people here in this fandom never exemplify with exceptions like these guys. Now i see why many people would label bronies as “stupid,” We a look like a bunch of pinkie pies and derpies rating cupcakes and muffins; “all the cupcakes and muffins are a 10/10!” NO!!! My point being that we are either too kind to be honest or to stupid to realize what we’re watching, reading, whatever. Some people here on derpibooru don’t even bother to read the entire commentary; they just take a peek, see some critique and “negativity” then generalize the whole thing as a pile of 4chan horseshit. i hope that many take these people’s words into consideration when doing anything, and i mean ANYTHING, not just what goes into the fandom.

This is why I hate /mlp/, and it’s not the critiquing part.

Where is there indecision, they all mostly agree on the same points: the animation is amazing, the sound design is amazing, but the writing and direction are far from what most would consider to be quality.
