and “Carrot Top” is an official nickname for Golden Harvest.
So everything is fine.

Minuette is a much better name, and I’m glad it’s been catching on more and more lately.
Like BP said above, the only canon pony names that haven’t caught on (& weren’t changed later on) are Golden Harvest and Sweetie Drops (Carrot Top and Bon-Bon).
(also Noteworthy, but no one cares about him anymore)
I think Carrot Top/Golden Harvest is the only time official and popular fan names don’t intersect at all.
