You still can’t imply anything that simply has no evidence within the image to be implied upon. Expressions don’t change what is or isn’t seen or implied.

Plain and simple this is just a baby shower with a pregnant Cadance… you can imagine whatever you want with it but what is shown is simply that. Which, realistically, most of these commissions are more imagination driven concepts rather then actually depicted/shown stuff.

Everyone is there but Shining Armor, including Flurry Heart, and the belly is way too big for it to be 1 foal.

The artist even decided to give 2 of the females smug expressions and the 2 males quizzical ones.

Because he is not visible or implied to be in the image anywhere. All that is implied here is that Cadance is pregnant with a boy. While it can be assumed to be Shining Armor’s child… he is not in the image or implied to be around in this image to be tagged as such.

Implying a character is part of an image means there is something that directly links them to the scene in some way. Such as a speech bubble coming from off scene that is from a character, speech from other characters implying that another character is nearby or just off scene, or some clothing/accessories that are specifically theirs that could imply they are around or have been there recently. Even the edges of a mane/tail that are just barely in the scene can simply imply a character. There is none of that here though.

They are looking at her because she is the focus of the baby shower that’s happening here… she’s pregnant and it’s revealed to be a boy of which blue is the general color choice for. The colors in this case only imply that it’s a boy and nothing more.

I still don’t get how this isn’t implied shining armor

I’ve not re-added the tag because it was a moderator that removed, but can someone enlighten me as to why the cake and confetti are his colors and why else they’d be looking at her like that?

according to my knowledge and research into the matter, unicorn horns are simply nubs covered in the same stuff as their hooves at birth; but both fall off soon after in earth ponies and well all ponies its called fairy slippers but the horn fuzz is useally just called fluff i hear some moms even keep it%%

This is the first one to show the reaction of others to Cadence unbirthing Shining armour. The others are mostly bedrooms and a few of her relaxing in the garden so this is a nice change of pace.

From what I read in another comment is that the horns are really short, soft and bendy in the womb and end up becoming gradually hard after birth.

Unicorn births would be a pain if their horns came fully formed and not blunted. I would be curious on what kind of death statistics involve unicorns and their horns.

Agreed. Would’ve loved an episode where we visit them in her final trimester and help her and Shining with some nursery construction and maybe help calm their nerves about impeding parenthood. But mainly I just would’ve like to see Cadance with her round and soft belly. She looks so cuddly!
