Then that means the loss of magic doesn’t affect immortality/longtivity of creatures like alicorns.
Since it sounds like she was around when magic disappeared for ALOT of years.
Another theory on why the magic disappeared.
So does that mean she didn’t know how to reactivate magic?
From what I can tell, she wanted the ponies to reactivate magic so her own magic will be reactivated. When she said “took them long enough” she was waiting for some pony to return magic to equestria. I think she just wants to rule equestria with her magic.
I feel it depends on crossing the moral horizon.
or perhaps sprout would make things right by defeating her, IF it’s done right by redeeming himself, much like how sunset shimmer did in rainbow rocks.

Oh for sure, but if she is trying to take back magic and turn everything back to normal, I’m pretty sure Sprout would 100% side with her.
This is why I believe people don’t get Sprout. Sprout would never side with this character because Sprout is loyal to Maretime Bay. If this alicorn is revealed to be a threat to Maretime Bay, then Sprout would fight against her using all his stubborness and demented determination to protect Maretime Bay.
