I just start thinking, may Sunny Starscout be related to Sunset Shimmer? I mean, it’s not just they have similar sun-themed names and orange color and celestial cutie marks. Most importantly they are so far the only two characters who became artificial alicorns with those golden glowing magical and hologram-ish horns and wings? And (at least in G4) two earth ponies can have unicorn and pegasus children, so is it possible Sunny is actually Sunset’s descendent?

I talked about this theory in the baby sunny pic. A month later the artist released the mirror pic. I like to think the artist liked my theory.

idk man, weather or not she wants to, she’s more comfortable staying there, and sure princess Celestia had forgiving her for becoming so selfish and vanishing into the mirror, yet It’ll take more then that make her move back to where she’s born in, like that cancelled movie idea that would’ve end EqG, which sadly won’t happen canon wise.

That’s why it’s possible for Sunset to have returned to Equestria/be Sunny’s ancestor, as there’s no canon contradicting it happened yet.
I so want to watch that human counterpart special. It broke my heart when I heard it was cancelled.
Yeah there was something that was planned that has sunset’s human doppelganger appearing, and pony sunset had return to her own world and cut off the portal form the human one

It was canceled because G4 ended.
But a bigger problem is that EQG never had an actual ending, so we never know the fate of Sunset Shimmer
