I don’t think it is as popular as you seem to think. If it was, it would continue past 2023.
If Hasbro didn’t scrap the MLP IP after G3, they’re not gonna. G5 isn’t as big as G4 was, but it’s still pretty popular, so they’ve still got the 2020’s covered.
Yeah….tbh big cons like that will go the way of the dodo bird. Even if it had big numbers one year that doesn’t necessarily mean it will continue to have record numbers. Especially when the bronies that grew up with Friendship is Magic (including myself) really start to age out and newer shows take the interest of the younger generations. That, or Hasbro decides to scrap MLP entirely.

If the Brony fandom died in 2018, then who’s even still using and maintaining this Brony fan site in the year of our lord 2022?
(To clarify a bit. I mean the hostility that generally spawned from 2018. Not every aspect like everyone saying that the fandom is toxic or something.)

A fandom doesn’t die when a series ends, and I really wish people would stop acting like that’s the case.
Go to pony conventions to find out yourself (: it’s nowhere near dead. Sure, it’s different than it was back in 2013, but people are still around.

Yeah bronies are still joining. I joined recently actually and imma stay around. I highly doubt this fandom will fully die. It will be here as long as the internet is around. I don’t wanna think about it’s disappearance, I doubt it will be in any of our life times.
Nah. If you enjoy the series (and/or the fandom), then stick with it. Only leave when you think it’s lost its luster. And if you live to be 100 and still love MLP, then that’ll be wonderful.
My big hope is that the writing quality of g5 can hopefully do something in the future to match early g4’s writing.
