With the advanced technology of the future, Equestria has managed to make technorganic upgrades to the wonderbolts. Now being plane ponies, or plonies for short, the Wonderbolts can now fly much faster than any organic pegasus. These new upgrades include rocket power propulsion and communicators, allowing the wonderbolts to communicate with each other from various distances apart. Soarin is also an interesting case to talk about here since he’s made the choice to become a robotic mare. Spitfire and Fleetfoot are happily supporting his decision.
