well, because we believe that intelligent life can’t invent inter planetary travel without getting rid of bad habits like greediness or hatred. We here can barely keep the condition of our own little planet intact. gathering the resources needed for any reasonable invasion of another world would destroy our planet with our current level of technology. our own bad habits have always kept ground breaking inventions from either being found or used in a big enough united manner for it to make any impact. Until we can use technology together instead of against ourselves we will have either gotten rid of ourselves or erased any harmful thought from our mind. Its highly likely this is the same case for other species. Habital planets are probably everywhere. but fragile and isolated. until eternal learning curve has taught a species before they can exit their world.

This made me realize just how naive we are into thinking the universe will just except us. And here we are sending messages into space with our exact coordinates.
