Hmm. Well, that’s the way I’ve always used it. I think it’s an American English nuance.
Or maybe I’m just dumb. Either explanation works.
Maybe he means that “learnt” is the correct spelling?
@A Sad Pony
Now learn to cure that schizophrenia of yours, hehe.
I like to think I have.
→I learned
Riiiiight…. Not.
->It’s a lesson I learned the hard way.
->I learned this the hard way.
stop repeating phrases in your own post, you moron
.GIFs get really big, really fast. There’s honestly no choice but to cut out anything you absolutely don’t need, and as such, it’s either impossible or foolish to keep a video-turned-.GIF’s fidelity in any capacity.
I learned this the hard way. Back around Season 3’s beginning, I used to upload .gifs all the time, but I did so without attending to their file size. After seeing similar efforts by users like mtobob, who made even better .gifs but at smaller size, I knew I was doing something wrong. That, and I realized just how slow my .gifs were loading, even on my end. (And I can’t even imagine the experience for mobile users or those with lesser internet connections in general, to whom I profusely apologize.)
While I did what I did because I wanted to make a really good quality .GIF, I didn’t realize the consequences.
Here’s the point of my preaching, and a good rule of thumb: If your .GIF wouldn’t fly on Tumblr or imgur, you probably need to cut it down somehow. While Derpi’s file size upload limit is a supremely generous ~25 MB, it’s not something that should be taken advantage of. I usually have some concern for quality (hard to believe if you see anything I make and upload), so I rarely stay within even Tumblr or imgur’s limits myself, but I try not to get too much bigger than that.
Dude… no.
Animated gifs are heavy for the browsers.
Even for desktop browser, but think of the poor guys with mobile phones.
I see…when doing that, upload the parts like you did before, otherwise it wont accept it as you noticed
And if someone want to watch the entire video, link them to goddamn youtube X3
@Kj2
was tryin to make the entire new fluffle puff movie a .gif. I succeed but its just to large
Even though its 30fps, 1 minute gif is way too long…lol
Try to cut it into parts or upload it to youtube ^^’
Who cares?!
It’s too much, damnit!
OP should clip it and post a Youtube link instead!
->2000 frame gif
->122 mb
is this before or after optimization
and what size is it anyway
its about 1min 6 sec
Wait isnt 3 min, its around 33 sec…anyway you got what i meant
The max it allows its 25.6mb by what the warning says….soo yea…i guess you ll have to shrink it a bit or cut some frames ^^’
Also 2k frames its a bit too long for a gif…some people might get bored after a while since its at least 3 minutes long (2k frames/60fps=~3min)
its a 2000 frame gif 122mb file size
Actually by what it looks isnt for avatars, its for the booru itself
Why? You are bringing a problem about the website and posting it as an image most people won’t be even discussing, so it’s more or less useless.
The forums where created so stuff like this wouldn’t spam the place.
Whoever says it, BP or no, it is still a valid.
