Nah. Hit them where it hurts. Revoke their noble titles, freeze their assets, and seize whatever properties they may own. Then fry/scramble/damage/magic siphon their magic so that they become incapable of utilizing magic whatsoever for their whole entire life. There’s also an option of performing information warfare and propaganda against the nobles and publishing doctored family trees to make it look like the perpetrator is a product of multiple generations of inbreeding.
