When the sun can no longer shine down as it once did, all living things will slowly fade into obscurity. Wendigos are not creatures known to ponykind. They come from the void and seek to destroy the world, extinguishing all life from it with their frozen terror. There is no knowledge as to why they do what they do, only that they thrive off disharmony and the darkness that comes with it. Nature’s construction of such creatures is a mystery. Do they have a heart? Do they have emotions? Do they have a cause behind their destruction? They do not fight with one another, they solely seek out those who aren’t them. Let others perish while they thrive - perhaps that is their cause. The tragedy that spreads across this land, of which Luna now bestows upon every traveler across this frozen desert, leading to nothing but the eternal realm of emptiness for those who have dreams and hopes. The cold is eternal, unending, and destructive - but those in this world with faith, driven forward by the essence of hope, yearn to find a solution to this all. Terror bonds us, fear drives us, and perhaps insanity pushes us even more. Though, there is ALWAYS a method to the madness. Instead of dying natural as one must, the former Princess of the Sun gave up her former form, obeying the ruthless will of fire and creating the last remnants of sun. Dooming herself to a death, much like a candle once its flame has burnt out, she sacrificed herself with a beacon of chance. Those who try to love us and try so save us will always have their followers. Will always inspire the embers of resistance within us. Will always lead us to strive for more. The day has broken, and now we have a chance.
