Your visual story telling is really good, it adds a lot to this.
Life is so much more vibrant feeling when you’re able to break free of whatever chains are holding you in your box of anguish, and the fact that colors visible here clearly shows the breakthrough, getting a taste of that wonderfully sublime freedom from anguish, and now that she has a taste she’s gonna want more cause she realizes how good life can be.

When I saw the image on the front page, I said, “That looks kinda like the Anorexic Sunny series”, but didn’t recognize it immediately so due to the color.
I clicked and read eagerly hoping maybe something good happened.
.
I love how with the color and closeup the details show more, and Sunny doesn’t look quite right but she’s not disgusting to behold. You can see who she’s meant to be in a way, with her condition holding her back, like it wraps tightly in a grip round her essence. Like the thinness is yanking her in.
But you can still see her, as a wonderfully beautiful pony, as she was and wants to be.

The finer details of the artwork in this series are fantastic, as well as the more obvious ones; Sunny being full colour again vs. her individual vertebrae being visible down her neck, damn.
