That is because both Twilight and Rarity have different forms in the fandom. Twilight is often given a form where she takes over after Celestia and becomes at dark and terrible Queen, while Rarity is often consumed by ‘The Knightmare’, a being the fans have made to explain lunas past transgressions, and proceeds to continue her/its plans to shroud the would in darkness.
