No, I like her regardless; she’s an interesting character. Her color scheme is very appealing to me and what we’ve seen of her personality is also more likeable to me then Celestia. Not to say I don’t like Celestia, I just like Luna more.

Derpy was a blank slate in which everyone poured ideas and she’s a background character with no impact on the episodes.
 
Luna on the other hand is a side/supporting character.
 
I can understand how people like certain fanons,but using them as reasons for liking a character? Is silly,imo.
 
Just Look at Luna (canon Luna),some people say the writers don’t know what to do with her when in reality she’s been fairly consistent.
 
In Luna Eclipsed was a bit socially awkward due her outdated mannerisms but she did try to improve and in the end the gets along with the ponies.
 
In Sleepless in Ponyville you can see she has improved and keeps caring about her subjects.
 
But most of her fans don’t want to past that.They prefer to see her (and keeping her as that)as a complete social awkward (which she’s isn’t),who feels miserable and believes no one care for her.Well that or as a basement dweller (which contradicts important point about her past).
