No, but you forgetting Lightning was doing very risky things before hand, that somehow only dash saw, so it’s not like it was one thing she did wrong, but as Dash knew of it and neve said anything, I think the problem isn’t that Lightning got in troble(also it’s not clear if she can or can’t come back to the academy later) but that she got in troblem and Dash got promoted when in a real case she would get punished as well for withholding the info that put others(the other ponies in the academy) at risk, it would be a lesser punishment but she would still get one.

That may be but she also almost got ponies killed, Last a checked with my friends in the military(what the wonderbults seem to be lake a part of) you get less warning when you almost kill people.
