No, she’s basically white, but she’s inherited a large size (and a gourmet side) and a powerful but dangerous power.

You only have an extremely summarized version of her story (it comes from a rp done with a friend), she had been working for several years on the product that transformed her, which was very powerful but not finalized (the apocalypse happened before she could do it).
She wasn’t the only one working on this kind of project, the army having entrusted the mission to several people on different tracks.

One of her greatest fears is the “curse of the alicorns”. In short, to become a Nightmare Moon-style alicorn, knowing that here, there’s no power of harmony to help her… and a scholar of alicorns has confirmed that if she really topples over to the dark side, she may never come back, and that the “presence” she’s sometimes felt for years might well come from that.

After that, I can see why you’d make assumptions, given that you only have the tiniest snippets of information to understand her story! ^^

ahh, I can see that. Probably why she is white. Likely makes sense in her story, but personally it feels a bit much. (But that’s just me) It would make more sense that though it could turn anypony into an alicorn, it has it’s flaws which caused it to be rejected, or that it requidered alicorn blood to even work, and they cant just drain an alicorn. And instead of hiding it, it could have been stolen as part of interministy espionage, and Thunder just happened to be transporting it when everything whent down.

Again, just me. I try to power down things a bit, so don’t mind me too much.

Long story, but to sum it up, she was a government scientist working for the army and she was supposed to create a product to make super soldiers from alicorn blood (in her case, Celestia) but her experiments went too far and she figured out how to turn anyone into an alicorn but she didn’t tell the army out of fear.
She was 30 when the apocalypse took place, and on the day it happened, ironically, she found herself exposed by accident to a pure, unfiltered version of her product, and when she woke up, she was transformed…

so, an artificial alicorn?
