Yeah, I think there’s someone still at hasbro thinks little girls only care about girl characters.
I wouldn’t exactly say it was better around movie time outside of the movie. I remember took me a while to find hitch’s toy

I think it’s over-dramatic to claim that the ending of MYM has been retconned just because Comet hasn’t appeared in s2 yet.

Honestly the reason TYT is more popular is only because it is easier to access, like anyone can just open YouTube to watch and kids wouldn’t need to beg their parents for Netflix subscription. Not that I don’t like TYT but I just much prefer MYM.

That is absolutely sadly correct. Even some people forgot Hitch was the main guy too. Most fanarts feature the entire group but Hitch.

What is it with Hasbro doing poorly with male ponies in G5? And that includes Hitch too because he hasn’t shown much growth since the movie. Now he’s just reduced to being friggin dragon dad. Sprout has almost been completely forgotten and is permanently seen as a nuisance because he had no kind of redemption. Comet has been loved by many since his MYM debut but nothing more came of it. The one I feel bad for the most is Hitch. He was seen by fans as a game changer because he’s the first male main cast pony. What even was the point for having a male main char in the first place when they were not going to properly utilize him later?

IIrc, both shows and the G5 comics have separate writing teams that never crossover.

If you really expect a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut type movement by the fandom just to get MYM back, there is no chance of that happening because chapter 6 was intended to be the last. G.M Berrow left Hasbro anyway, so yeah. Also, what majority of the fandom is asking for more MYM? It was clearly stated by Hasbro that TYT is the more successful show. Hope all you want but I’m just being realistic here.

This is why I say we bring MYM back!

Maybe Comet is important for the arc and they only use him for that or when Allura herself shows up. The two are seemingly intertwined.

Some say that one secondary character can be part of Sunny’s group where they would be briefly called referred to “Mane 7” and then they never get the chance more than once afterwards.

Comet got robbed. I don’t know if there was some inter-department rivalry going on at Hasbro, but it just doesn’t feel right to me to ignore and retcon the ending of mym. The ending that showed Comet moving in! Disappointed at the tyt writers, but they can redeem themselves by showing comet moving in.
