Neither Twilight nor anyone else could have imagined releasing an egg after her labor, but Discord doesn’t appear very surprised. There were no previous reports of a pony being with a draconequus until recently, so it’s possible that he was aware of it or it could have simply a draconequus thing. If that’s the case, it clarifies why she went into labor several months ahead of her due date; she was concerned that the baby might not be doing well but is grateful enough to accept an egg in its place. When the egg was placed on its own incubator in Twilight’s chamber, she began to feel anxious and thought she was ready to become a mother. This circumstance significantly affected her perception of what her child would look like when the time came.

Twilight always made it a point to check on the egg’s hatching as soon as she finished her princess responsibilities, but to no avail. She is anxious but importantly she is more upset because she has been waiting a long time for her baby. As night fell, Twilight was asleep in her bed while Discord, who had his own tasks to run, was not around. Besides, they didn’t usually sleep together. Unable to sleep, Twilight studied the egg, fixing the warm blanket that was wrapped around it with a sigh. “I know you’re taking your time… but how long you’re going to keep me waiting..? Mama is starting to miss you little one…” she said quietly.

As morning approaches, she has been keeping vigil for hours. Twilight was getting restless and about to give up when she heard the sound of an egg starting to move and jiggle (Celestia and Luna are still here doing their roles ). This instantly made Twilight happy and the tiredness vanished in an instant! “Is it possible? Oh my—” she hurriedly straightened her back and leaned in, experiencing a surge of enthusiasm! The egg started to break there, creating patterns as fragments of shell began to fall one after another, signaling the end of the waiting period. A newborn that resembled a draconequus first appeared as a pair of legs, followed by a tail and a pair of paws, until the entire thing started to slip out.

A fragment of an egg shell covered her head; Twilight used a gentle spell to remove the remaining piece, and there she was. Naturally, her kid is the cutest infant she has ever laid eyes on. Twilight feels a wave of joy wash over her as she tenderly wraps her infant in a fresh blanket. She could definitely see the resemblance, both from her and Discord, releasing her first sound, crying in tears as she was being held up by it’s mother. “Hello… I’m here. I’m here… you don’t have to cry…” Twilight couldn’t help but she’s on the verge of tears, she held her tenderly within her hooves, she looks so vulnerable, and small.

She’s worried that could accidentally break her apart she not be careful enough, besides her worries, she felt a sense of relief, “I’m so happy that you’re finally here, and you look just.. like me… welcome to the world little one…” She talks gently, began to hum in melody while leaned her muzzle gently to hers. The motherly voice soothing the infant to a slow sleep, this is the start of a new day and she can’t wait to tell everyone the news, but for now. She want to spend holding her daughter for the first time…

heeeeey guys~! waaaah riu made a little fanfic from a drawing??? it’s been a while! xD I really do wanna focus on Jinx’s birth and her universe because it’s been years since that comic came out, I hope you enjoy the story I placed! There been some ground mention of Twilight and Discord’s relationship, even just a tiny biiit but they do have the vibe of acting like a couple and sometimes are not - both are awkward of each other even though they procreated this bundle of joy in their own accord. I would love to hear your thoughts and I love to hear your own ideas for the story too! Apologies for my grammar, English is not my first language. :)
