unless something happens to itunes FiM will be avalible for online purches for a long time (and remember DVDs don’t survive forever, the only way to truely preserve media is to keep copying it and updating it to new formats).
and if something DOSE happen to itunes there will be no one to cry havic over the pirates…

As hard as it may be to believe, MLP:FiM is almost certainly not going to be available online forever. Having it on physical media is like having another backup of it, in case something happens and it does go away.
You can also loan DVDs to people who have crappy internet connections.

Um, yes, because Hasbro doesn’t make any money when you download it online. Unless you’re talking about iTunes or something, in which case some folks just like to have physical copies…
