But there’s more to human interaction than the right to free speech. People’s treatment of each other has a strong effect on them (which is to be expected, as we are a social species), so it’s important to be considerate of people’s feelings, just as you expect them to do for yours.
 
This is usually not as inconvenient as it’s made out to be; most people who act mean and nasty are acting needlessly (and oftend deliberately) rude, and could make their points more clearly without being so hostile.

I’m glad a representation of ‘I want to cum inside Rainbow Dash’ was included.

A lot of people who decry censorship are of the mentality that the speech they’re protecting is full of important facts and opinions that the evil censors want to oppress. In practice, they often have nothing to actually say; a lot of the alleged “censorship” is just the belief that people should be courteous, which the anti-censors try to keep people from expressing by bullying anyone who makes an allegedly pro-censorship statement.

It’s what one guy on /mlp/ believes in. It’s not representative of the whole; heck, I hang out on /mlp/ sometimes and I sure don’t believe in it.
