First, the French dub and other languages are not available about Equestria Girls Season 2, Rainbow Roadtrip and Friendship is Forever
Then, the MLP G4 TV Series, movies and specials were removed on Netflix
And now, it’s replacing every voice actor from non-english dubs with AI from Tell your Tale season 2
I’m very disappointed…

I don’t mean to play the devil’s advocate here, but this will come sooner or later. Generative AIs are not good enough for professional TV production yet, but eventually they will be. The Pandora’s box is open and nobody will close it again.
BTW, go watch Black Mirror episode S06E01 Joan Is Awful to get some taste how TV generative AI on steroids would look like.

Regarding cutting costs by using AI voices, I’m not surprised. I mean, they stopped dubbing songs in TYT regularly after “My Bananas” (and completely after “Every New Day (Is The Best Day Ever)”), and in MYM for Chapter 6 (which was hugely disappointing as those songs are among the best G5 has to offer).
Plus, in TYT, they leave tended to leave all the grunts/screams by the original voices intact, and as time went on, it seemed like the sound mixing seemed to suffer (a good example in my mind is the Japanese version of Sparky’s Sick, where it sounds like the Japanese vocals were mixed in noticeably louder than the background music and reused vocal effects from the English version)
