I could see a parallel universe fic where Cadence finds a different special somepony. Maybe she goes to agricultural school because she can’t afford Canterlot Academy of Magic after missing out on getting adopted by the monarch. So she goes to Apple Academy ran 90% by and for Apple family members. Also Fluttershy is there.
